ATTORNEY AT LAW
Megan Harrington graduated from Shawnee Mission South High School and attended Kansas State University where she majored in political science and psychology. At Kansas State, Megan achieved several semesters on the Dean's Honor List and was a member of Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society.
Megan attended law school at the University of Kansas and served as an Articles Editor for the Kansas Journal of Law and Public Policy as well as earned a CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Jurisprudence. Megan was also active in several student activities including the Student Bar Association and Traffic Court.
During law school, Megan worked as a judicial clerk for the Shawnee Court District Court. During her clerkship, Megan had the opportunity to observe several criminal trials and realized she wanted to be a criminal lawyer. As a young adult who had several brushes with the law herself, Megan knew she did not want to be a prosecutor but wanted to defend those accused of crimes. Megan began interning for a criminal defense firm and was soon providing substantial assistance on high-profile criminal cases. Megan continued her work as a criminal defense attorney upon starting her own law firm in 2005. Megan's work is highly respected and, due to her expertise, she is frequently sought out by other attorneys to assist in their criminal cases and appeals.
Megan also likes to give back to the community and has volunteered with the ALS Association Keith Worthington Chapter and as a YouthFriend at Southwest High School. Megan currently lives in Kansas City, Missouri.
